A Sense of Humor

This morning at 6:30, I luckily ran out of Coffee Mate and had to go out to the garage refrigerator to get another one. I say luckily because when I went outside, I discovered a surprise! I quickly went back in the house to grab my camera as Delaney was leaving for school at that very moment. I just reached my spot when she came around the corner and I was able to catch the surprise moment...

Registration that something has been done to her car...
Realization that she has been asked to Prom!
What is so funny about this, is that this same boy asked Delaney to Homecoming a year and a half ago. She said yes and in the end she was not able to go to the dance (he quickly recovered and got another date). At least he has a good sense of humor about the whole thing.
They call her Barbie at school
I love how he wrote, I love Tanner on her window!

Families are a Blessing

This is my husband's brother's family. Aren't they beautiful? They took these family photos in Sylvan Meadows and I think it is a wonderful background for their family portraits. Lance and Cindy have been married for 27 years in June, their son Jacob was home from the Coast Guard for two weeks and Emma is graduating High School in June.
Even the dogs got in the picture, Coco Chanel and Jack, too CUTE!

Emma's Senior Portraits

Emma (my niece) is graduating from High School this June. She had these beautiful pictures taken. I couldn't wait until the pictures were ordered, so I'm sneaking in the proofs.

Wow, how time flies. Just yesterday, she was two years old and wanted to see the "boom booms" (fireworks) at Disneyland.

She is beautiful, funny, self-motivated, smart and happy. The whole world is before her and I can't wait to see what she does.

The Mighty Hunter

As I am getting the mail from our mailbox, Daisy hears something in the bushes...
She starts to look through the bushes, sniffing and reacting quickly to the sounds and movement of a quick little creature. She has done this before, you just mention the word LIZARD and she turns into a hunting machine!
She chases it to the other side, she pounces...
She is victorious!!! Actually, she usually doesn't kill the lizards, she catches them and then plays/tortures them until they get away. This lizards was not as lucky and not as fun.

Friday Favorites

Sold!!! I recently went to the Pasadena Showcase House featured in Fifi's Blog (click the link, the house is fantastic), and they had some vendors set up on the grounds. A big crowd was gathered at this tent, so I thought I would take a look. This dipping oil is fantastic! I loved every flavor and wish I had unlimited funds to buy as gifts for birthdays and Christmas. They had their regular dipping oil, Garlic and Parmesian, and Asian dipping oil. There might have been more, but I was not leaving this station as they were freely giving out samples. Their Balsamic Vinegar was amazing as well.

I received a pair of pajamas to try out from a company called Cool Sets. They are made from "wicking" fabric. It is the same principle as underarmour that all the athletes wear. If you are really hot, it wicks away any moisture from your body but does not soak your pajamas. They have many different styles. They are light, soft and comfortable. Give them a try at www.coolsets.com

Katie's Sorority Semi-Formal

Katie and Tommy at Pi Phi's Spring Semi-Formal. These are all the pictures she gave me. Two, yep that's all I got. Usually this child takes so many pictures that I threaten to take the camera away, but this time I got 2. She had a great time, but was disappointed when Tommy would not do the robot with her. Can you imagine that conversation? Seriously!

The Four Seasons - Scottsdale

The Handsome Husband was chosen as one of the top 100 "Exceptional Producers Council" for North America. These 100 producers brought in 47% of all North American business. As a thank you, we attended an awards "Gala" at the Four Seasons in Scottsdale, AZ. They kept us busy morning to night. We were taken care of like Kings and Queens. Free food, spa, golf, desert tours, etc. Here is a look at the hotel:
Our Casita was behind these beautiful Seguaro catus.
Our room
View from the patio
Everything was in bloom and it was so green. Stunningly beautiful.

This is the Fountain Terrace. This was set up with tables and chairs for all our dining. Delicious food, open bar all weekend.

The pool was amazing. They brought what they called "set ups" and basically it was a cover for your lounge chair, a towel pillow for your head and a rolled towel for under your knees, and a pitcher of ice cold water. The waiters would come through every 15 minutes or so with free pineapple, watermelon and ice cream bites. The pool was 86 degrees. Heaven!
