Paris Apartment

Living room
I have found a great apartment in Paris, 5 minute walking distance from Notre Dame. It is two bedroom, newly renovated with new beds and furniture and at a very reasonable price. I used a company called Vacation in Paris. So far they have been very accommodating and nice.
It is very hard to find hotel rooms for 4 in Europe. 3 yes, 4 no. The Handsome Husband always wants to have separate rooms anyway, given the fact that our children are 19 and 21. (Oldest daughter is not going as of now, she is going to Jamaica next week.) After seeing other people having great apartment experiences, I thought I would give it a try. I think it is going to be very cost effective. Already saving $200 a night over hotel rooms.
I don't plan on cooking dinners in this kitchen but breakfast for sure and maybe some lunches. Don't know how much use that coffee pot will get because there is a Starbucks down the street.
(Yes, I looked up the apartment on google maps and got a street view! Crazy, I know). HH loves french coffee, so if a Cafe au Lait is attainable nearby, that is where we will go, but nice to know Starbucks is there!
The bathroom in nice and big.
Bedrooms are off a quite courtyard and have new beds. This was important to me because you can't just change rooms if you don't like it. HH is picky, I always tease him that he is like the princess in the Princess and the Pea!
The girls will have this room and I think it is just right. This will be a new experience for us, so I'll let you know how it goes.

How beautiful that looks!! I think I would definitely go for the French coffee and skip Starbucks, lol! Although it would be interesting to try and see how different it is. I'm so jealous! I love France, but I have not been to Paris. I can just taste a real French croissant:-)

So glad you decided to go the apartment rental route. I've done it in Rio and now Paris and have zero regrets. It is SO nice to have a kitchen to keep food, and also just feel like you really live there.
Enjoy!
PS Don't you love google street view??

We have had a lot of luck renting houses {never an apartment} and I love the privacy. I think those street maps are so cool!

wow Janie! I love the apartment. Great find. I think you and the family are going to really enjoy your stay in paris this way in comparison to a hotel. I cannot wait to hear more.

That is a gorgeous apartment! I google mapped your house before and it still had Alyssa's old yellow car parked in front. Not current views, in case anyone is wondering. I agree with Rae about how nice it is having a kitchen to store food. The business hotels I stayed in in Japan had mini fridges and kitchenettes and it really saved me alot of money on meals.

Ooooh....looks wonderful! Please tell us exactly how it is/what you think as Tom and I are going to do our 20 year anniversary in Paris.
We're in Italy now--move in to the new villa hopefully next week. We'll be here most of the rest of this year!
Are you coming to Italy, too? We could meet you in Rome if coming to Naples is too far!
Hugs/enjoy Paris,
Lana
