Acadia National Park

I'm already researching next years vacation. I know, I never stop looking for new places. I'm probably the only person who reads travel books before bed even if I'm not looking for a place to go. The Handsome Husband has mentioned several times that he would like to go to Acadia National Park in Maine. Here are some gorgeous pictures I found of the park.
Look at these cuties - Puffins!
Lighthouses Galore
Beautiful hiking to be found. This is right up his alley.
I think we are thinking more June than Oct., but I thought this picture was beautiful. The colors are amazing.

Have you ever been to Maine? I went to Portland a couple years ago in the spring and just kept saying how gorgeous it must be in the fall. Sounds like you guys would have a great time!

I just saw a special last night on how Maine was shaped. It was beautiful. When I say watched, I mean skimmed channels and hovered there for a few minutes so I can't really tell you how it was shaped. It sure was purdy though.

Hubby and I went there about 10 years ago and it was fabulous! Plus Bar Harbor is so charming and cheap lobster dinners to boot!

Just came back from bar harbor. If you decide to land at bar harbor you have no choice but to take a connecting flight. They usually take smaller jets from Boston to bar harbor which only takes 39 minutes. We decided to rent a small apartment on kavanaugh road. It was small but cozy with very little complaints. U mentioned June? That's actually their busy time of the year. October is very cold! But will have beautiful views of fall. Right now it's soft shell lobster season which means smaller lobsters at cheaper price but dont take small to lightly I ate a 4 lb lobster at stewmans lobster house at bar harbor. Also try geddys while he there. For a romantic time go to the reading room which requires a reservation. The president ate there. Try their lobster bisque and halibut or sirloin if u like meat, they are to die for. For desert get banana fosters bread pudding another great! To get around u will need a car it cost 298 for the week without insurance at bar harbor airport enterprise car rentals. Also Acadia is another great place to explore. If your a great climber/hiker do beehive precipice, then the great slide and lastly precipice, warning! Dont do these if you dont gave experience. U could die! Let me know how it goes my email is jgat1984@yahoo.com
