More wedding!!!

I just got some great photos from Barbara, Greg's mom.  I thought I would pull out a couple and share them with you.  In the Bride's room, you can really see all the beading on Alyssa's dress.

Gore Family with a couple of Martins mixed in.
Floyd and Barbara.  Alyssa could not ask for better. Amazingly loving and kind people.
Typical!
Bridal Party.  Notice Trenton, our ring bearer.  He did an awesome job walking down the aisle and he danced the night away at the reception.

Greg sent this flower and sweet note to Alyssa when she was getting ready at the church.

Tablescape Thursday -

Please join Susan at Between Naps on the Porch for more beautiful tablescapes.
One of the benefits of having a wedding over the weekend was that I got to keep some of the flowers.  This centerpiece was at the head table at Alyssa's wedding this weekend.  Some friends from England were here with their family on vacation.  We had them over for dinner on Tuesday.
I layered all my cream plates from Home Goods over a pale green and cream tablecloth.  I used my Godinger ice tea glasses and my Towle silver.

Those little brown curly stems are called fiddlehead fern.  We called them monkey tails when we were describing them to the florist.  Alyssa had them in her bouquet and in the arrangements.  They brought the brown into the cream and green flower arrangements.

A few more pictures of the wedding

Here is a picture of the reception room.
The menus, favor boxes and place cards
When you first arrived at the restaurant, you spent the first hour having cocktails and hor's deurves on the terrace.  There were firepits to hang out by.
Everyone was having a good time dancing.  I'm hoping the photographer got some of more.

Greg thanked everyone for coming and said he was so happy that he married the woman of his dreams and thanked Alyssa for marrying him!
The Handsome Husband and Greg share a hug, one of many that night.

The Bride and Groom's grand entrance

The Wedding Day!

What a beautiful and amazing day we had.  The bride was stunning and the groom, so handsome!  Everything went perfectly.  I cried through the whole entrance of the bridesmaids and the bride, but was able to settle down once the ceremony began.  It was the most amazing ceremony.  The scripture was appropriate and everyone loved the message that our pastor presented.  The pastor has known Alyssa since she was four.  It was a very personal and loving ceremony.
My friend, Annette, read the scripture.  She did a fabulous job.  I know she was really nervous!
The kids make their grand entrance into the reception.  Keith and Delaney.  The Bridesmaids were so beautiful and the Groomsmen looked sharp!
Katie, the maid of honor and Michael, the best man.  Michael made an incredible speech.  We loved it.  Katie brought tears to my uncles eyes as she straightened Alyssa's skirt at the alter.  He just realized how grown up and responsible she was.  A touching moment for him.
Courtney (Greg's sister) and David. I'll try to get some photos of Courtney's two year old son, Trenton, who was so adorable and danced the night away!
The clinking of the glasses which begged for kisses!
Delaney, Tommy and Katie.
Alyssa and Greg dance to "I thought I loved you then"
Mom and Dad
Daddy and Alyssa dancing the Father - Daughter Dance.  It brought tears to her daddy's eyes and everyone else's.  They danced to:  "I loved her first"

The cake.  It looks like chocolate, but that's just the fondant.  It is strawberry lemonade cake.  It was so yummy.
I love this picture!  We had so much fun dancing!  It was a great bonding moment for our family.  All the aunts and cousins, friends; we all danced together.  It was great.  I hope someone got pictures of it!
The girls having fun!
Delaney and Dante.  Dante is our neighbor and about two years younger than Delaney.  Delaney has known Dante since he was born.
The handsome husband and our friends/neighbors: Steve and Shawn.

Me and our friends/neighbors Tina and Marlene.  Tina did our make-up for the wedding, she is Dante's mom and the girls love her. They went over to her house and hung out their whole lives.  Marlene is so fun and I walk with her alot.

Starting with the Rehearsal and Dinner

It all starts with the rehearsal on Friday night.  All day we had been taking care of last minute details and now we are ready to begin the festivities.  The Handsome Husband /Loving Father carries the dress into the church and into the Brides room.
Daddy walks her down the aisle for the first time.  We are all so happy!  The big day has finally arrived.
Alyssa and Greg.  Alyssa carries her bouquet from the shower.
The Ricks put on a beautiful Rehearsal Dinner at a very elegant and classy restaurant called Mr. Stox in Anaheim.  We had our very own room and at the table above, you will see pictures of the happy couple and my wedding photo and the Ricks' wedding photo.  We have been married 26 years this year and the Ricks have been married 40.  At each place setting there was a picture of the attendee with either the Bride or Groom showing their relationship through the years.  It was awesome, such a great idea.
This Groom's cake was the best cake ever!  A light, delicious chocolate mousse cake! So Yummy!
Tuxedo strawberries.  Especially good since strawberries are in season right now.
Me with my Aunt Marjorie and my Uncle Rod.  My honorary parents (both my parents are passed away).

The Gore family.  Katie and Jer in front - Grandparents of the Bride.
The Groom and his groomsmen.

The Bride and Groom getting ready for tomorrow.  We had a low pressure system move in and Greg started feeling sinus pressure and having an earache.  He had to leave early.  He went to the doctor in the morning on Saturday and got a prescription and felt fine by the wedding.  Whew!  Wedding pictures to follow.  I didn't take pictures myself, so I'm using my friends pictures of whatever they send me!
