Cute Picture

Just thought I would share this cute picture of Alyssa and Greg in Las Vegas. They had a time share in December and went with 3 other couples. So far, their track record for Vegas is not very good. The first time they went, one of the girls they went with had an appendicitis and had to go to the hospital. The second time, two of the other couples weren't getting along very well and one of them insulted the whole group in her anger. But, overall, they had a good time. Was that too much information?

I bought this beautiful and flattering dress with my Christmas money from Katie and Jer (thank you, thank you , thank you) on sale at Nordstrom. I now have to find some shoes to go along with it. I've found these two pairs and I am still searching.
I love this shoe but I am afraid it will be too matchy matchy, which used to be good, but I guess not so much anymore. I love the color and the silkyness of it. I think it looks classy, but sadly no bling.
I also love the bling on this shoe, but I'm not thrilled with the open toe (I wish it was more of a peep toe instead of being so open). I think a silver shoe will look good and then I can borrow the cute silver clutch we bought Delaney for Christmas.

What do you think? Should I go with one of these of keep looking?

Hot Tip!

If you head on over to The Project Girl you can download this very helpful organizational tool. It is a meal planner. I used it this week and it really helped me when I planned the meals for the week and then shopped for the food. It helped cut down on my grocery bill because I wasn't buying a bunch of stuff that I didn't need because I thought I "might" make something for dinner. It also forced me to think about what to make this week and not leave it to the last minute and then just get fast food. It is categorized and when you are in that section of the store, you gather all the grocery items you need. No doubling back.

It is categorized by day then by sections like: Dairy, Meat, Canned Goods, Frozen Foods, Dry Goods, Produce and Misc. Super helpful. It took me all of 20 minutes to fill it out.

I got out my recipe books, planned the dinners and then filled in what I needed from the store. Super easy, not time consuming and saved me money. If you click on "The Project Girl" above, it will take you straight to the website where you can download your own.

Beginning to plan this years vacation

The time has come to begin planning our summer vacation. I think we will be going to Munich, Bavaria, Germany, Salzburg, Austria and Switzerland. We will be going with the Handsome Husband's brother Lance, his wife Cindy and their daughter Emma. Cindy's mother, Alma, came to the U.S from Bavaria when she was 16. We are just beginning to plan and might try to throw in some London if possible. Above is Neuschwanstein Castle, a day trip from Munich.

A Few of My Favorite Things

I thought I would share with you a few of my favorite things in no particular order. Above is the Clarisonic. I use it everyday. It exfoliates dry skin and stimulates new cells while cleaning your face.
My iphone. I use it for many things beside phone calls. I use it at the gym instead of an ipod. That way, I don't have to have both with me. I play scrabble or wordworp on it when I have some time to kill and I can review my email, make notes and take pictures with it. I have an application that helps me find a starbucks where ever I am. I have a white case on mine so I can find it easily in my purse.
Brand new discovery and boy does this product work. I blow dry my hair and sometimes straighten it. My hair was getting fried. You put a little nickel size amount in wet hair and then use all those appliances on it and it comes out smooth, soft and shiny! Worth every penny!
My Ugg boots, they are currently my favorite to wear on my cold travertine floor. They keep my feet nice and cozy.

I absolutely love and recommend this concealer. It reduces puffy eyes and covers up the dark circles. I love this product.

This is also a very new discovery. It was a splurge, but I love it. Because of it's price I only use it when I am going out, I only wish I could use it everyday. It gives your face a creamy, healthy glow (in a good way).
If you haven't discovered CABI, you haven't felt comfortable in your clothes. Carol Anderson makes beautiful clothes for real women that are designed to cover up our problem areas. Every time a wear a piece of CABI clothing, I receive numerous compliments.

Ben and Jerry's Phish Food
The ultimate in ice-cream. They also make a Phish food light, which is very good (for light ice-cream). This is my daughter, Delaney's favorite also.
I could not live without my Canon. It fits nicely in the smallest of purses and is so easy to use. I take it everywhere and I get great pictures.
Eau Mega by Viktor & Rolf
My new favorite perfume. My daughters like Flower Bomb by V & R. It is Alyssa's favorite.
Last but not least, the Kindle. I don't have one yet, I do borrow my husbands, though. I love it. It is easy to hold and work. You can read huge books like Gone With the Wind and The Count of Monte Cristo without a pillow to help hold up you arm and hand. I can't tell you how convient this little gadget is. Excellent for traveling, you can take multiple books on the kindle and take up minimal space. I was resistant at first, but now I am definitely on the band wagon.

What are some of your favorite things?

It Speaks to Me!

I love this ad for Dior. It just speaks to me! I've never really been persuaded by ads. There have been some I've thought were stupid, horrible, ridiculous, but none that have just grabbed me like this one. Who wouldn't want this feeling? Floating with big balloons in a amazing dress and shoes over the most beautiful city of Paris? Light as air? No worries?

Happy Birthday, Delaney!

Today is the baby's birthday. She is a complicated girl. She is funny, happy, beautiful, full of mischief, stubborn, and an instigator. She loves her friends and her family. She wants to go skydiving someday (I'm hoping she grows out of this soon). She loves the beach and counts down the days until summer.
She's always had beautiful, long blonde hair and sparkling blue eyes.
Happy Birthday, Delaney. WE LOVE YOU!
