Let's talk shoes!

Any of you ladies out there ever heard of Christian Louboutin? My oldest daughter is obsessed with this designer. She loves shoes and these are some pretty snazzy ones. They start at $695.00 per pair. The pair above is $2800.

She currently has a pair on her wish list. Can you guess which ones? Could it be these sparkling rainbow dazzlers?
What about this red hot number?
How about these black beauties?
Could it be this pair of delicious wine babies?
How about this pair of eye candy?

Well, she would only ever really get to have one pair, if she really splurged and threw caution to the wind! The pair of choice is the no nonsense, goes with everything, black beauties. The key sentence here is: GOES WITH EVERYTHING!!!

Ouch on the price and on the cost of physical therapy I'd need after putting my poor tootsies through torture such as these. You can make them as beautiful as they are, but all I see is pain.

Wow they are beautiful! So high though, I've never been able to wear shoes that high!

I knew who they were right away because of the trademark red soles. The Louboutin brand has become well known due to being mentioned in the Sex and the City movie. Apparently Manolos are on the out and Louboutins are in (at least according to Carrie Bradshaw). I had to smile when I saw these on Alyssa's wish list because I thought she was very practical in her choice. If you are going spend that kind of money on a pair of shoes, they better go with everything!

Oprah wears these all the time on her show! The movie The Proposal, Sandra Bullock wears them too!

I have loved Louboutins since 2004 when they were featured (but not named) in Wicker Park. I became obsessed with these random red soled shoes, and finally learned about Louboutin.
I bought my first pair for myself when I'd lived in the city for almost a year. It was a little gift for myself, sort of a "I made it in the Big Apple on my own" symbol. Best decision I ever made. :)
