The Color Purple

Marie and I went to the first play in our series of season tickets and it was to see "The Color Purple".  I was not looking forward to this play due to the fact that I read this very depressing book and saw the movie.  It was 2 hrs and 45 minutes long.  How was I going to get through this?

It was FANTASTIC!  The time sped by. What intermission already?  Marie and I looked at each other and both said, "That was pretty good".  The singing was FABULOUS!  We really liked the woman who played Shug Avery:  Angela Robinson and of course, Celie was AWESOME. Her character was played by Jeannette Bayardelle and  I can't leave out the fierce Sofia played by: Felicia P. Fields.  It touched on every uncomfortable issue, but it was worth the time and money to see.
