Yesterday was my daughter's birthday, so we set a fancy table. Fancy is a relative term right?
She loves chintz and pink so when I saw these plates I knew she would love them.
I used a gingham vinyl tablecloth from Joann's and paper plates made by Caspari that can be found at most party stores. The whicker placemats are from Nell Hill. Miniature roses filled the vases and I made a funfetti cake.
The cake. My family doesn't spend as much time on pinterest as I do. They didn't quite get the cake. I was going for a shabby chic, country look. Katie's interpretation: "Why a circus cake?" The Handsome Husband: "I don't get the cake." Luckily for me, I take it all in stride and I'm not offended by the remarks because they did like the cake, they just didn't quite "get it".
