I like to read travel books. I read them all the time. My favorite are the Eyewitness Travel Guides. I usually read them at night before I go to bed or while I'm watching TV. They have a lot of pictures and are in color, which I LOVE!! I've planned many a vacation based on what I've seen in these books. I've decided on my next two years of vacation. In 2009, after Alyssa's wedding, we will be taking an inexpensive vacation. Who's going to have any money left after a wedding? We will go to either the Florida Keys or the US Virgin Islands. We've been to the keys before and Delaney remarked that was her favorite, but I always want to go somewhere I haven't been so I'm considering the US Virgin Islands. Delaney approves. Delaney and Bob love to snorkel and just be in the water.

For 2010 I'm hoping to go to Venice, Italy and maybe Croatia. They are just across from each other. Delaney will have graduated and it will be a good trip to take with the family before she goes to college. I could leave tomorrow, I really really want to go. We loved Italy when we went last year and we can't wait to go back. Croatia is the new hot spot. Beautiful, untouched, more medieval. Bob is toying with the idea of going to Germany, Venice and Switzerland. That would be great! We would have to drive between these three and it is all in the Alps. I'm a little concerned that those sitting in the back seat would get car sick. With Bob's race car driving, I might have a heart attack! Maybe there is another way...train? I'll have to look into it. So Venice for sure.
