On Sunday morning we drove down to San Diego and attended the parent luncheon celebrating the initiation of the Fall 08 Pledges. It started at 11:00 and they fed us breakfast. It was really good. They had set up the patio, but it turned out to be kind of cool and a little blustery, so after everyone ate, we went inside for the presentation of new members.
Katie was presented by her Beta (?) Mallory McClure (Katie loves Mallory, she is sweet, smart and has a mature presence. She is the President of the Sorority). It was a nice presentation. Something said about each girl, but short and sweet with no rambling. Just the way we like it!
All the girls being initiated wore a white dress (try to find a white dress in Nov. EEE!, wish we would have known in June) and the active members wore black.

Sammy's grandmother was a Pi Phi and the sorority flew her in as a surprise. She was at the initiation ceremony and pinned Sammy!
