My girls are all out of high school now and I can tell you we spent many, many, many hours looking for Prom dresses. This teen in Wisconsin, named Tara, has a special dress to go with the "Candyland" theme of her prom.

Senior Tara Frey says she just "lucked out" on the theme because work on her dress actually started six years ago. She'll wear a dress made from Starburst candy wrappers. Each wrapper has been folded eight times and pressed with a tweezers for a tight weave. It's the work Tara's mom, Kerrin, and a few of her friends.
Kerrin Frey says she got the idea from a mother who started weaving gum wrappers during her children's hockey games. Tara even has accessories for the April 30 prom — Starburst shoes, flowers, a purse and even a candy wrapper vest for her date. KARE-TV asked Zane Heinselman what he thought about his Starburst vest. Heinselman just smiled and said he really doesn't have a choice in the matter.

I can't believe the work this mom has put into this dress and that her daughter is actually going to wear it! It is really pretty and fits her perfect, but teenagers are so self conscious and I would imagine a fight from one of my girls. It really is fun though, and I hope she has a great time!

I read about this on Yahoo news and was amazed. This must have taken a lot of patience! It is cute, though!
