Here is a copy of the invitation I sent out for Delaney's birthday. I love invitations, I think they set the tone for the party. We invited 4 of Delaney's friends to spend the day with her at Disneyland and have lunch and cake before they left. I also gave this invitation to the bakery for her cake.
First to arrive was Hannah, one of Delaney's best friends. She brought Delaney some beautiful sunflowers. You can see them on the table below. They fit perfect in the tablescape, which I will show you on Tuesday. Happy Birthday, Delaney!!! We love you so much!
We enjoyed In-n-Out. The other girl by Bob is Jay. She gave Delaney a gift card to Urban Outfitters. Delaney's favorite store. Jenna, Delaney's other friend, will meet them at D-land and her friend Allye couldn't make it. Greg and Alyssa are present, but didn't want to be photographed. Something about looking like they just woke up...
Okay, so here is the cake. I was totally disappointed. It had this flesh color (that didn't show up in the photo very well) and it looked more like worms than leopard spots, but, oh well, it is what it is. Does it look anything close to the invitation? Uh, no!!
Bob lit all 17 candles and we sang "Happy Birthday". Delaney hates that part. She would rather not have a party, than be sung "Happy Birthday".
She received her Urban Outfitters card from Jay... Whoo-hoo she yells... who else yells whoo-hoo. hhmmm...
She displays her many dollars. She's rich!!! She states that combined with her Christmas money, she has never had this much money before. Must be nice...
