Succulents are really in right now. So I thought I would create a little succulent vignette. It should do well in my back yard, its all sun all the time. I love gardens, but I'm not that good at keeping things alive. My family teases me that I kill everything I try to grow. I have problem areas in the garden. Like under the fountain. It gets lots of sun, but stays wet all the time. Hard to grow things there, but I keep trying.
This is another problem area. It gets morning sun and thats all. You would think shade plants would do well here, but they don't. The sun in the morning is intense. I also have to deal with the Santa Ana winds. Everytime something is doing well, it is just a stick by the time the Santa Anas are done blowing. You would think after 16 years of living here, I would have found just the right things to grow.

It's not that you can't keep things alive, it's that you get bored and rip them out! THAT is why you're the plant murder. :)
