All Grown Up

Wow!  How time flies.  Over the weekend we went to Lance and Cindy's house to say good-bye to Jacob as he begins the exciting adventure of starting his grown up life.  He has definately matured in the 8 weeks he was gone and you can totally tell he is in the military.  Conversations were peppered with words like: Taps, revilie, muster, cc, i.t. bunk, etc.  He told funny stories and you realize that his life is going to be so different from what it was.  No more sleeping in until 2:00pm, now he is awakened with a bullhorn blaring, "fire, fire, fire".   No more staying up until 3am, lights out at 10pm.  No more mom and dad reminding you to wear a coat, or take your medicine.  You are totally responsible for yourself.  The great thing is...he will excell.  Congratulations Jacob!  We love you.

I thought I would take a little trip down memory lane.  Jacob and Alyssa, Christmas.

I couldn't move this picture to the right spot, but anyway... Gore kids Bryce National Park 2006
