I've been reading a series by Dean Koontz (an author I don't normally read) and I am really enjoying it. The name of the series is Odd Thomas. It is about a young man who sees the dead and they come to him for Justice. It is exciting and written with alot of giggles. It is not scary or filled with gore. It is action packed and the main character, "Odd", is witty. Give it a try, you won't be sorry.
By the way, if you are looking for a really good biography, I recommend "Loving Frank". It is about Frank Lloyd Wright and his mistress and it has a shocking ending. Everyone I have recommended this book to loved it!
