Haute Dog!

This picture will give you an idea of how crowded this parade was.  It was fun!

Today Cynthia and I went to the Haute Dog parade.  It was hilarious!  There were so many different kinds of dogs there and they were so cute and well behaved.  There were about 2000 dogs entered and people were lining 2nd street in Long beach on both sides of the sidewalks. The costumes were so varied, from standard store bought to outlandish homemade. We saw a lot of bull dogs and chihuahuas and a lot of bees, jailhouse convicts and princesses. People went all out.  They made floats to showcase their dogs and dressed up to add to the scene. Below are some of my favorites.  Click on the link to see some of Cynthia's pictures: http://www.flickr.com/photos/cynner62/sets/72157608400671324/

This was one of the most creative homemade costumes.  She was a peacock!

This one was soooo cute!  They put alot of work into it. I would have voted for it to win.
