When I was a little girl I loved the wind. I would put on a jacket and grab an umbrella and fly outside! I would try to walk against the wind or open my umbrella and try to fly like Mary Poppins! Walking to school was so fun. We would put our heads down and plough forward or if the wind was at our backs we would squeal with delight as it pushed us forward. I would wonder in amazement when I saw huge trees blown down across the yards and streets. I had no worries of destruction, loss of personal property or fires!
Now when the wind comes I can't wait until its over. It usually breaks something in my backyard or blows down a fence or tile off the roof. True, I live in a wind tunnel. We had to sign a real estate disclosure for how bad the wind blows when we bought our house 15 years ago. Who knew how bad the wind could really blow? Daisy listens to sounds coming from the fire place and windows and is perplexed. She is eager to go outside and I open the door, she sticks her head out and is battered in the face by the wind, she comtemplates and decides, "uh, no!" She is content to just look out the window!

My mom said the wind has been the worst she's ever experienced in the 15 years we've lived there. Wild!!
Oooh my allergies. I hate the Santa Ana Winds too. And my cute patio is a mess. Piled up with sycamore leaves like a crunchy messy carpet I'm not allowed to sweep over the edge cuz it will upset my downstairs neighbors so I have to pick them up by the handful and put them into a trash bag, or 5 bags in reality. Also, a grey layer of soot is all over my chairs and table. Probably from the fires in LA and San Bernardino. Lots to clean up this weekend. No time during the week. Daisy's pic is cute. Buddy loves jumping on the leaves and chasing them. He likes the crunchy noise.
