So, I'm lounging around on a Wednesday afternoon, kidding around with my girls and checking the other blogs. One of my girls say, why didn't you do a tablescape today? Oh, I'll do one tomorrow and I tell them what I am thinking about doing. Then all of a sudden, I realize that today is Wed., NOT TUESDAY!!!! I have to do a tablescape now! The one I was thinking of, won't work until tomorrow, so I have to come up with a PLAN B!!! OMGosh!! Calm down and shop the house. I made this table with absolutely NOTHING new.

I used my little crosses that I got from a home party company called
Setting Traditions a couple of years ago. I also got all my table sheers from this company. A little on the expensive side, but if you have a party... you know the rest.

I added the tall candlesticks from my family room and got out the stars and angel dishes that I have had for at least 15 years. I got them at Macy's.

Whenever I think of them, I think Christmas. I was talking to my oldest daughter, telling her that I had the centerpiece set up, but didn't know what dishes to use and she suggested these. Are you sure? They remind me of Christmas. No, I think they're great. Okay, I'll use them.

I picked these flowers from my freshly blooming back garden and put them in little Mikasa vases that I bought years ago for $2.99 each. I often see these little sets of vases come out at Christmas. I like using them in multiples and giving them as gifts.

Oh Janie! This is my idea of tablescaping. Putting together what you have around the house. And the perfect Easter tablescape for me would include crosses. I'm already trying to come up with an Easter scape with crosses for next week! I really enjoyed your elegant table you came up with!!!
Hi Janie,
This reminds me of when someone whips together a fantastic meal from ingredients in the pantry. I love the look you created, and especially like the cherub plates.
Cathy
Very pretty! Thursdays roll around quickly don't they? Love your little vases
This is very pretty - love those cute cherubs.
Shopping your own home... I might have to try that, looks like I'm always on the hunt for more and more dishware ... or accessories, repurposing things is in order for me soon! Thanks for sharing... you table is lovely!! ~Katy
Love it all! You did a great job!
Oh, this was really beautiful! Your daughter was right about the dishes-they were perfect! I loved how you used the sheers-when I attempted that, they looked like I bunched them up and didn't look anything like yours-you nailed this tablescape. In a word, I would say it is, "etheral"!
A pretty tablescape -- and a great one for Easter with angels and crosses. It's an elegant table.
Janie, very elegant! Love it! I am all about using what I have in the house - way to go, girl - you've certainly got some good stuff! Linda (By the way, I wasn't even going to post, but at the last minute on Wed., I got my idea, so I understand!)
BEAUTIFUL!!! So elegant!!! And who says you need something new every week??? We all have more than we realize hanging around...we just need to be creative...and you were definitely CREATIVE!
Happy April!

Love those plates and the flowers. I would use those plates all year if I was lucky to own them. Thanks for commenting on my first tablescape.
Hi janie,
Beautiful and elegant table. i like the crosses and the pretty dishes. I have a Katie too! cindy
What a great spur of the moment table! How nice that you had everything you needed.
I love the star plates. I have cups that match (no plates, though). I use mine at Christmas, too, but I also use them at other times--whenever I need a little tough of gold.
Pretty dishes and I love the candlesticks.
Now really Janie, would the world end if you did Tablescape Friday and did the table you were planning. LOL. This is pretty but I'm dying to know what you really had in mind.....

It is simply a beautiful table, Janie! Those dishes and the sheers gave your table a royal sense of reverence...
Lovely. Have a great Thursday!
Fabulous! I love how you only used things you already had around the house. I love the cherub plates. I'd use them all year round. Love your table.
Hi Janie! I love your tablescape today with the crosses and angel dishes! It made me think of Jesus' resurrection (the crosses) and how the angels must have sung when He conquered death and the grave.
Be a sweetie,
Shelia ;)
Simply gorgeous!
