Tablescape Thursday - Orange Roses

Please join our Hostess, Susan, at Between Naps on the Porch for more beautiful tablescapes.
Today I decided to use some salad plates that I picked up at TJ Max on clearance for $2.00 each.  I really like them.  They have a beautiful orange rose with a light blue accent and gray writing.  I paired them with my green dishes and cream chargers from Home Goods.
I added these mercury candlestick holders with the mercury "lamp shades" (purchased at Roger's Gardens in Corona del Mar) and the green mercury votive holders (purchased at zgallerie).
I tried to bring out the blue by adding a blue napkin between the plates.  These would look fabulous with a light blue dinner plate, but alas, I don't have any.  Dang!  I used my Towle heirloom silver that is so special to me.

Thank you for stopping by and Happy Tablescaping!

Hello Janie! I LOVE those salad plates. There's just something magical about chartreuse and tangerine! Soo Yummy!

So yes it looks like we have a couple things in common... Our Dogs love lizards and our Hubbies love HOG's. Harley Davidsons that is... Did you see my post a while back about Bike week? If you want to see it just type in Bike Week into the search box at the top of the blog... it will bring it right up! Its our Harley and a little ride we took.

And here is a little funny story for you... This morning I was sitting at the table and I had the door propped open cause it was such a nice morning and Gadget came scrambling into the house, her nails scattering on the wood floor. I jumped up and looked at the the heck was going on and there was a lizard squirming on the floor NEXT to its separated squirming tail! I think I started screaming a couple obscenities and Hubby came a runnin... EwwwwwwwwAhhhh! I still don't know what happened! But it was GROSS!~ I know.... all that coming from a girl that wears leather on the week end!
Cute post about the Harley...

Sorry for the novelette on your comments page...

Your mercury glass candlesticks are really romantic. I don't have any mercury glass, but I may be tempted to get some. Great buy on the pretty salad plates.

Hi Janie,
Thank you so much for stopping by to say hello today! Please stop by again anytime.

I am just loving the orange flower plates on your tablescape. Orange is not really a color I use a lot, but after seeing what you did, I am definitely inspired to do a tablescape with orange accents. So lovely. Amy :)

Hi Janie,
Thanks for the sweet words over at my blog. You're tablescape is stunning. It's been years since I've visited Roger's Gardens, but what a magical place during Christmastime. I'm still thinking about a French settee I saw a Z Gallerie in Costa Mesa years ago. Thanks for sharing your tablescape. Love IT!

Hi,
You asked about the Macy's event. They have it every year the first weekend in April I believe. The whole main floor is decorated with live plants and flowers above where the display counters are sto it goes clear to the ceiling. It is truly an amazing event worth seeing. Thanks for visiting me today!

Your tablescape is gorgeous. It is fun to see the different ideas. Now remember, don't throw anything out until you have tried to clean it. :-) Thanks for visiting me. Oh I recognize your header as California country. I guess you live in So. California. I am in the Bay Area in Northern California. The "Wine Country".
